Heritage E-Transfer Service

E-Transfer service is an innovative way of sending or receiving money securely via email or text message. The service offers you the ability to request payments from anyone, or make fast convenient payments anytime, anywhere using your existing checking or savings account. You can use the service to transfer funds into and out of your accounts at Heritage Bank, as well as to and from your accounts at other financial institutions. Heritage Bank’s E-Transfer service is a great way to send money to your child at college, pay back friends for dinner, pay your babysitter or landlord.

How do I use the E-Transfer service?

Simply log into your Heritage Bank Internet Banking account, click on the Transfer tab and select “E-Transfer” from the drop down menu.E-Transfer

 

 
Are there any fees or limits?

Each transfer has a $1.00 fee. If the recipient enters incorrect bank information to complete the transfer and the transfer is rejected by the recipients financial institution there is an additional $25.00 Failed Transfer fee.

How does it work?

To send money to anyone, enter the recipient’s email address or mobile number, the payment amount, and a personal message you wish to send to the recipient, then follow the instructions to complete the payment. The recipient receives an email or text message with instructions explaining how they can accept the payment. The recipient then enters a confirmation number, email address, or mobile number, and bank account information to accept the payment. Funds are automatically debited form your account and then credited to the recipient’s account.

How long does it take to complete a funds transfer request?

It usually takes 2-3 business days to complete the transfer. The specifics will depend, in part, on the time of day you initiated the payment and how long it takes for the recipient to accept your payment request.
