Meet the Team

Sam Moyer

Sam heads the Heritage Group, where his 46 years experience in banking, investments and law is invaluable.  He holds a LLM in Tax Law from New York University, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska, and a BS in Accounting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  Sam enjoys crafting business succession and estate plans to keep businesses and farms in the family.

Cam grew up in Aurora, Nebraska. He enjoys finding ways to help farmers and businesses become more competitive by reducing costs and diversifying revenue.  He works hard to ensure that people and capital remain in out-state Nebraska to keep our rural communities strong. He holds a BS in Accounting and Finance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska College of Law.  Cam earned his Crop Insurance license in 2020 as well.

Adam holds a BS in Agribusiness Banking and Finance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  He joined Heritage Bank in 2015, and earned his Property & Casualty Insurance license in 2017.  Adam specializes in Agricultural, Commercial, and Consumer Lending for Heritage Bank in the Red Cloud area.  In addition, he now serves as the company’s Director of Sales.

Jacob Arendt

Jacob has five years of experience in banking and insurance. He holds a BS-Finance from University of Nebraska-Kearney and is licensed in Property/Casualty and Crop insurance. Jacob enjoys the opportunity to establish and build relationships with Ag and Business customers, while providing advice and financial expertise. Jacob also serves as the company’s lead talent recruiter as we grow our team of professionals.

Karen Joseph

Karen’s 39 years of banking experience and 17 years of crop insurance make her a natural “go-to” expert for customers and co-workers alike.  She serves as one of the bank’s Mortgage Specialists, and holds an Associates Degree in Paralegal services.  Karen takes pride in providing friendly customer service in all areas of the bank and insurance.

Jim Rennau

Jim has 40 years experience in banking, insurance and real estate. He has a B.S. in Ag Economics from University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and completed the Graduate School of Banking in Boulder, CO. Jim also holds State of Nebraska Real Estate Brokers License, along with Property/Casualty, Life and Crop Insurance Licenses. He is committed to helping customers reach their goals, through analysis of business opportunities and risk management.

Curt Mickey

Curt joined Heritage Bank in 1991, and provides loan and financial services to agricultural and small business customers.  He graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln with a B.S. degree in Agricultural Economics, as well as the Graduate School of Banking in Colorado.  In addition to his banking duties, Curt is a licensed crop insurance agent and licensed Nebraska Real Estate Broker.

Dawn Baldwin

Dawn’s 25 years of banking lending and loan administration experience are a great benefit as she works with consumers and business customers alike.  In addition to assisting loan customers in Hastings, Dawn is one of Heritage Bank’s Mortgage Specialists.  She holds an Associates Degree in Accounting.  You’ll enjoy Dawn’s pleasant service and ‘can-do’ attitude.

Rod Peters

Rod’s 22 years of experience in Production Agriculture, and 10 years experience in Automated Manufacturing make him uniquely qualified to understand his Ag and Business clients’ needs.  Rod studied business at the University of Nebraska – Kearney.  He joined Heritage Bank in 1998 and earned his crop insurance license then as well.  In addition to his banking and insurance duties, Rod is a licensed Real Estate Agent.  He specializes in developing new partnerships and expanding relationships with existing customers.

Jason Stephens

Jason assists clients in the Grand Island area with their ag, commercial and consumer financing needs.  He is a Nebraska native and has worked in the banking industry since 2009, building a vast array of experience.  Jason looks forward to putting his expertise to work for his customers to help achieve their goals.

Nic Dowling

A central Nebraska native, Nic’s commitment and friendly demeanor translate into great service to his banking clients.  Nic holds a BS in Business/Accounting from the University of Nebraska-Kearney.  He joined the Heritage team in 2019 and has completed the bank’s extensive lending training program.  Nic has a proven track record of hard work throughout his career and appreciates the value of every dollar to his customers.  He looks forward to furthering his relationships with ag producers, business owners and his neighbors in the Hastings area.  Nic expanded his farm expertise in 2020 by earning his Crop Insurance license.

Clayton Suckstorf

Clayton is a Burwell native where his summers were spent haying, fixing fence, branding calves, and working cattle.  He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he earned a BS in Agribusiness Banking and Finance while also completing an internship in banking.  Clayton looks forward to getting to know folks in both the Loup City and St. Paul markets, and becoming involved in both communities.  He started work with Heritage in 2019 and will be relocating to the Sherman-Howard County area. His hands-on work history combined with the extensive lending training at Heritage Bank make him a great asset to his clients.  Clayton’s ag expertise was expanded in 2020 when he earned his Crop Insurance license to complement the services he brings to the Howard and Sherman County markets.
